SPRING PILGRIMAGE – A TIME-HONORED CULTURAL TRADITION
The annual spring pilgrimage is a cherished cultural tradition that TEXO has maintained for many years following the Lunar New Year. This year, the Company organized a spring excursion for its employees to visit and pay respects at Tam Chuc Pagoda and Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda in Ha Nam Province, now part of Ninh Binh Province.

Nestled amid a unique landscape of flooded limestone mountains, the Tam Chuc Tourist Area is located in Ba Sao Town, Kim Bang District, formerly Ha Nam Province. Tam Chuc Pagoda is one of the largest Buddhist temple complexes in the world, renowned for its majestic limestone mountains and serene lakes. Built on the foundations of a thousand-year-old ancient pagoda, the temple is dedicated to revered Buddhist masters who made significant contributions to the nation and Buddhism.

More than a place of Buddhist worship and pilgrimage, Tam Chuc offers a harmonious blend of unspoiled natural beauty, magnificent scenery, and a serene spiritual atmosphere, evoking the feeling of a heavenly paradise. Also located in the former Ha Nam Province, Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda is renowned for its ancient architecture, where traditional design blends seamlessly with the rustic beauty of nature. Wooden houses, moss-covered tiled roofs, and thoughtfully landscaped gardens create an atmosphere that is both solemn and welcoming. Originally built in the 10th century, the pagoda once comprised around 120 halls. After decades of deterioration, it underwent a major restoration in December 2015 and was renamed Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu (Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda)n

A distinctive feature of Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu is its uniquely designed grounds, which make full use of the natural terrain while reflecting Buddhist philosophy. One of its most remarkable features is the courtyard, covered with white pebbles that symbolize resilience, perseverance, and purity. Walking across these stones conveys a profound message of determination and the strength to overcome life’s challenges.
TEXO’s annual spring pilgrimage is a cherished cultural tradition that the Company is committed to preserving. Beyond honoring long-standing cultural values, the journey provides an opportunity for employees to strengthen their bonds, embrace the joyful spirit of spring, and welcome the new year with renewed enthusiasm, optimism, and hope.
