COMMENCEMENT OF PASSENGER TERMINAL T2 PROJECT – DONG HOI AIRPORT

On December 1, 2025, the construction project of Passenger Terminal T2 – Dong Hoi Airport (Quang Tri) was officially started. This is a key project in the strategy to upgrade aviation infrastructure in the Central region, to meet the needs of transport growth and improve passenger service quality in the future.

Overview of the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of the T2 Passenger Terminal Project at Dong Hoi Airport

According to information provided by the project owner, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the project includes the construction of the T2 Passenger Terminal with a designed capacity of 3 million passengers per year, along with supporting facilities such as technical infrastructure systems, connecting transportation networks, parking areas, auxiliary buildings, and landscaping works.

Among the participating entities, TEXO Consulting and Investment Company serves as the Construction Supervision Consultant for the project. Drawing on many years of experience in supervising transportation and aviation infrastructure projects, TEXO’s team of engineers is committed to carrying out rigorous supervision activities, ensuring compliance with technical standards, inspection and acceptance procedures, as well as occupational health and safety requirements on the construction site.

Project rendering

A representative of the supervision consultant stated that the supervision activities will focus on controlling the construction quality of the terminal’s main structural components, mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, underground technical infrastructure, as well as the associated transportation and landscaping works. Continuous coordination with the design consultants and construction contractors will be maintained to ensure that the project stays on schedule and to minimize technical risks throughout the implementation process.

The T2 Passenger Terminal Project at Dong Hoi Airport is expected to enhance the airport’s operational capacity, improve the passenger experience, and contribute to the economic and tourism development of Quang Tri Province and the North Central region of Vietnam.
