Within the overall development, the Catering Facility is regarded as one of the project’s key components, contributing to the completion of an integrated aviation service ecosystem that meets international standards. According to the project owner, Sun Aviation Joint Stock Company, the project is being developed in Duong To Ward, Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang Province. The facility forms part of the airport transport infrastructure development and is planned in accordance with ICAO Code 4E standards established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Designed as a modern aviation hub, Phu Quoc International Airport is expected to handle approximately 10 million passengers annually and process around 25,000 tonnes of cargo each year. The aircraft apron will be developed in front of the new Terminal 2 (T2) and expanded from the existing apron area, providing approximately 30 aircraft parking stands in the initial phase, with sufficient land reserved for future expansion to up to 120 stands.

In addition, the airport will feature two runways, each measuring between 3,300 and 3,500 metres in length, capable of accommodating wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 747, Boeing 787, and Airbus A350. The project also includes the construction of Terminal 2 (T2), a General Aviation Terminal, and a VIP Terminal.

The Catering Facility will comprise two storeys and a rooftop level, with a gross floor area of approximately 15,523 m² per floor and an additional rooftop area of approximately 1,600 m². The facility is designed to provide in-flight catering preparation and meal services, meeting stringent international standards for food safety, hygiene, and service quality.

Notably, TEXO Consulting and Investment Joint Stock Company is participating in the project as the Construction Supervision Consultant. In this role, TEXO is responsible for overseeing construction quality, monitoring project progress, and ensuring full compliance with technical specifications and applicable standards throughout the implementation process.

The integrated development of the airport’s key facilities, including the Catering Facility, is expected to significantly enhance the quality of aviation services at Phu Quoc International Airport. The project will support the airport’s growing operational demands while serving as a catalyst for tourism development and sustainable economic growth in the region.
